Hogue and Florand garner league honors
ELMHURST, Ill. -- Juniors Wil Hogue and Connor Florand were each recognized by the Summit League for their performances last weekend. Hogue was named the Summit League Swimmer of the Week while Florand was honored as the Diver of the Week.
Hogue won the 50 freestyle at Green Bay last weekend with a time of 21.07, barely missing his personal season-best time of 21.06. He also took second in the 100 free with a time of 47.48, while also swimming in SDSU's runner-up 200 medley relay team (1:34.87).
Florand won the three-meter dive with a score of 283.50 against Green Bay, while also placing third in the one-meter dive with a mark of 250.95. Florand's three-meter dive currently ranks as the third-best in the league this season.
SDSU will travel to in-state rival South Dakota on Friday. Action is set to begin at 6 p.m.
