The South Dakota State men's swimming team won 10 of 12 events in their 136-51 victory over Iowa Central Friday night at the HPER Center Pool.

Freshman Nathaniel Weinman led the way for the Jackrabbits by winning the 500- and 1,000-yard freestyles with times of 5:01.40 and 10:13.60.

Kyle Ochsner won the 200-yard freestyle in a time of 1:44.71.

Phil Albu won the 50-yard backstroke in 26.10 seconds.

Blake Yeager won the 50-yard freestyle in 22.55 seconds, while Kyle Avocato won the 100-yard freestyle in 50.91 seconds.

Alex McLain won the 200-yard backstroke with a time of 1:57.57.

Franky Ciummo won the 200-yard individual medley with a time of 2:03.24.

The 400-yard medley relay team of Dylan Stalheim, Garret Schrock, Avocato and Ciummo opened the meet with a winning time of 3:48.50.

The 400-yard freestyle relay team of Albu, Alex McLain, Ochsner and Yeager won with a time of 3:22.26.

The men's swimming and diving team next meet is at home against the University of South Dakota on Jan. 21 at 2 p.m.
