AMES, Iowa - The South Dakota State men's track and field team were in two different states today, as one group wrapped day two at the Iowa State Classic, while another group went to the Bison Open. Trent Lusignan found success in the 5000-meter run as he finished third overall, he completed the race in 14:26.68.
Michael Krsnak placed ninth in the 3000-meter run with a time of 8:17.76.
The majority of the action though was at the Bison Open in Fargo, N.D. One of the most notable stories of the day was Jeremiah Ary. Ary placed third In the long jump with a distance of
21’ 08.00” and he also placed second in the triple jump with a distance of 45’
Kipp Kinsley finished ninth in the mile with a time of 4:29.17, he also ran a time of 9:14.59 in the 3000-meter run.
Cullen Mack recorded a mark of 50’ 02.00” in the weight throw.
Traxton Priebe finished tenth in the 400-meter dash with a time of 52.80 seconds.
LeAndre Kennedy placed third in the 60-meter dash with a time of 7.03 seconds. Kennedy also ran a time of 23.62 in the 200-meter dash.
In the high jump Connor Berg tied for 11th with his height of 6’ 00.75”.
Dylan Slaba ran a time of 2:00.70 in the 800-meter dash.
Kyle Anderson recorded a mark of 46' 09.00" in the shot put to finish tenth.
The Jackrabbits will head to the Nebraska Tune-Up and the South Dakota Twilight next weekend as they prepare for The Summit League Indoor Championships in two weeks.
