Michael Krsnak has been named The Summit League men's track and field Athlete of the Week after placing fourth in the 10,000-meter run at the Mt. San Antonio College Relays in Walnut, Calif. Thursday.

Krsnak clocked a league-leading time of 30 minutes 2.47 seconds, the fourth-best time in South Dakota State history. The time is currently ranked 70th nationally and is nearly two minutes faster than the next league competitor. 

This is the first Athlete of the Week award for the sophomore from Rapid City, S.D.

The Jackrabbits continue the outdoor season April 23-24 with the Kip Janvrin Open, hosted by Simpson College in Indianola, Iowa, and the Drake Relays, hosted by Drake in Des Moines, Iowa.
