South Dakota State men's thrower Jake Brinkmann capped the outdoor season with a league championship in the discus...

Brinkmann won with a mark of 171 feet, eight inches, a season-best by nearly three feet. Brinkmann posted the mark on the second throw of the finals to win by six feet.

Brinkmann owned the third-best mark in the league entering the Outdoor Championships, but beat out the other two athletes for the title.

The title is the third for the SDSU men and fourth for the Jacks overall this weekend.
