Potts sets school record
NORWALK, Calif. – Just a day after setting a personal best in the 1500-meter run, Tera Potts recorded a new personal best yesterday in the 3000-meter steeplechase. Potts ran the 3000-meter steeplechase in 10:34. Her time yesterday is the new SDSU record. The previous time was held by Nicole Davis (10:42.84) in 2010. Potts won the race.
Laura Lawton completed the 1500-meter run in 4:41.73.
Carper finished tenth in 100-meter dash with her time of 11.95. She also was the top Jackrabbit finisher in the 200-meter dash. She recorded a time of 24.67.
Odegaard recorded a distance of 17’ 00.00” in the long jump.
In the 800-meter run, Krista Creager finished in 2:14.81.
Lori Foltz ran the 400-meter hurdles in 1:05.29.
Amy Leiferman pole-vaulted a height of 10’ 10.75”.
Kali Olson tied for tenth in the high jump with her height of 5’ 4.50”.
In the javelin throw, Amy Paulzine recorded a distance of 133’ 10.00”.
McKenzie Johnson tossed the shot put 44’ 10.25”.
In the discus throw, Brooke Garner finished fifth with her distance of 167’ 00.00”.
On the men’s side, Joel Reichow completed the 1500-meter run in 3:59.44. He also finished eighth in the 5000-meter run with a time of 14:46.48.
Jared Foote ran the 400-meter dash in 49.66. He also ran the 200-meter dash in 23.03.
In the 400-meter hurdles, Justin Carson finished in 56.22.
Jeremiah Ary recorded a distance of 22’ 7.25”.
Jake Sanderson jumped 45’ 3.75” in the long jump.
In the discus throw, Ryan Ackman recorded a distance of 139’ 8.00”.
The Jackrabbits will be back in action again next weekend at the Drake Relays. The Drake Relays are held in Des Moines, Iowa and take place from April 24-28.
