The South Dakota State men's and women's cross country teams return to Minneapolis, Minn., to run in the Roy Griak Invitational this Saturday, Sept. 24...
The meet is set to begin at Noon.
Both teams visited Minneapolis on Sept. 9 to run in the OZ Memorial.
The men's team continues to make strides in defense of its Summit League title.
Senior Greg Vollmer continues to lead the Jacks this season, having been the top performer at every meet thus far. Vollmer posted the 11th-best 8k in The Summit League at the UND, SIU-Edwardsville meet on Sept. 3 and the 13th-best 6k time on Sept. 9 at the OZ Memorial.
The men took last weekend off after competing in the OZ Memorial, where the team finished in third-place out of six teams.
The women's team looks to make a jump in the standings from last season and are off to a good start.
Junior Erin Hargens holds the fifth-best 5k time in the conference, which she also posted at the UND, SIU-Edwardsville meet on Sept. 3.
Junior Tera Potts holds the sixth-best 5k, which she posted at the same meet.
Following the Roy Griak Invitational, both teams host the lone home meet of the season. The SDSU Classic is set for Saturday, Oct. 1, with start time at 9:30 a.m. The meet will take place at Edgebrook Golf Course in Brookings, S.D.
