ELMHURST, Ill. – South Dakota State’s Michael Krsnak was honored Tuesday by the Summit League with the inaugural 2012 Men’s Cross Country Athlete of the Week.
Krsnak won the honors with his performance last Saturday at the NDSU Dual. At the NDSU Dual Krsnak won the meet with a time of 26:09.54.
Last Friday Krsnak and the Jackrabbits took second at the NDSU Dual one spot ahead
of host North Dakota State, who are ranked 14th in the Midwest
region.
This is Krsnak’s second time being named Men’s Cross Country Athlete of the Week, last time this occurred was back on Sept. 9, 2010 after he won the OZ Memorial with a time of 19:13.82.
The Jackrabbits will be back in action this
Friday (Sept. 7) at the OZ Memorial in Falcon Heights, Minn. with a start time
of 4 p.m.
