Jackrabbits head to Collegeville

Brookings, S.D. – The men’s and women’s cross country teams will head to Collegeville, Minn. this Friday to compete in the Fall Finale. 

About the Race:

St. Johns and St. Benedicts are the hosts for this weekend’s race. The women will be running a 6k, while the men will run a 8k.

The competition:  

Bethel (Women and Men)
Black Hills State (Women and Men)
Gustavus (Women and Men)
Hamline (Women and Men)
Martin Luther College (Women and Men)
Minnesota Men (JV)
Minnesota-Morris (Women and Men)
North Central (Women and Men)
Northwestern (Minn.) (Women and Men)
St. Ben’s Women
St. John’s Men 

At the Fall Finale last year:

The women took first overall out of nine teams, with Katie Boote taking third place. The men did not post a team result but Christian Karels finished 20th with a time of 27:15.

Last time out:

Last weekend at the Summit League Championships the men won the meet and the women took third. Michael Krsnak won the race for the first time in his career and Erin Hargens took third.

Next time out: 

This is the final race before the NCAA Midwest Regional in Springfield, MO. on Nov. 9. Missouri State is the host for this years Midwest Regional. The women’s 6k will begin at 12 p.m. and the men’s 10k will start at 1:15 p.m.
