South Dakota State wrestling head coach Chris Bono was tabbed as coach for the U.S. Men's Freestyle team at the Pan Am.

The Senior Pan American Championships, which include women's freestyle and Greco-Roman teams, as well, are annual continental championships for nations in North America, Central America and South America.

The championships are scheduled for April 5-7 in Panama City, Panama.

Men's freestyle wrestlers include 2012 Olympic bronze medalist Coleman Scott, 2011 Pan Am champion Nick Marable and former NCAA champions David Zabriskie and Zach Rey.

Bono, along with Mike Duroe, leads the seven-man roster, with wrestlers spanning the Midwest and northeastern region of the United States.
