The South Dakota State University football team will kick off the spring season with its first practice of 2012 on Friday.

The Jackrabbits are scheduled to complete their spring practices on April 20, with the annual spring game set for Saturday, April 21. Start time for the spring game is 3 p.m. at Coughlin-Alumni Stadium.

SDSU opens the 2012 regular season Sept. 1 at Kansas.
