GREEN BAY, Wis. — Former South Dakota State wide receiver Dale Moss will officially begin his professional career this weekend as he participates in the Green Bay Packers' three-day rookie minicamp.
In his only season with the Jackrabbit football team, the former basketball player tied for the team lead with 61 receptions and tallied a team-high 949 yards with six touchdowns. A second-team all-Missouri Valley Football Conference selection, Moss recorded at least five catches in each of the team's last nine games of the season and crossed the 100-yard mark four times. He was named to the MVFC All-Newcomer Team and also was selected to play in the East-West Shrine Game.
Moss is one of 14 non-drafted free agents whose signings were officially announced by Packers officials on Friday. The minicamp runs Friday through Sunday at The Don Hutson Center in Green Bay.
