HEMPSTEAD, N.Y. - Every Jackrabbit in uniform scored and seven of them scored in double figures as South Dakota State rolled to a 96-48 win over The University of the District of Columbia on Sunday in the Jacks final game of the 2K Sports Classic benefiting Wounded Warrior Project.

"That's a complete win against a good team in UDC," head coach Scott Nagy said. "We scored 96 points, nobody scored more than 13 and we got 27 assists. That's a great way to end the weekend."

The Jackrabbits improve to 3-2 on the season, while the Firebirds fall to 1-4.

Taévaunn Prince scored the 13 points for the Jacks, who shot 55 percent from the floor in the game, making 39 of their 70 shots. Jordan Dykstra, Nate Wolters, Zach Horstman, Chad White and Marcus Heemstra all finished with 12 points and Tony Fiegen added 10 points in the win.

Quasim Jones led the Firebirds, who shot 28.8 percent on 17-of-59 shooting, with 13 points. Michael Terry added eight points in the loss.

The Jackrabbits opened the game on an 8-0 run and never looked back in dominating the game in all facets. SDSU led by 29 at 45-16 at halftime, and steadily increased the lead to the final 48-point margin.

SDSU looks to carry that momentum into the next game, when the Jacks return home to face Southwest Minnesota State on Wednesday at Frost Arena. The Jacks and Mustangs tip at 7 p.m.
