Â
The Jacks have four student-athletes in five events with the season-best mark in the league's performance list.
Â
Junior
Kyle Burdick has the best times in the mile (4:04.89) and the 3,000m (8:07.26). His season-best marks, in both events, would be the championship records.
Â
Burdick is set to defend his 3,000m championship title, and reset his record-time from last year (8:09.92). He will also look to take the title in the mile, after finishing second behind SDSU graduate Joel Reichow last year. He is 2.25 seconds under the mile championship recor, set by Reichow in 2017.
Â
Junior
Chase Cayo is leading The Summit League in the 5,000m (14:29.46) by 8.06 seconds and is within 5.29 seconds of breaking Reichow's 2017 championship record in the event. Cayo also ranks fifth in the 3,000m with a season-best mark of 8:24.54, which is the school's 10th-best time.
Â
Sophomore
Bryant Courter is first in the long jump (24-04.50) on the league's performance list when he won the event at the SDSU Holiday Open in December.
Â
Also, Courter is second in the triple jump. Until last weekend, he led the league in the triple jump with the school-record mark of 50-04.50. The Rich Hill, Mo. native has won all four triple jump events he's competed in and was the only league jumper who had season-best marks over 50 feet before last weekend.
Â
Senior
Colton Bender has had The Summit League's best weight throw attempt (68-10.00) for past three weekends, improving his personal-best mark and resetting the school record three times. His throw is fourth best in the Midwest Region and 24th nationally.
Â
Bender has won five out the six weight throw events he's competed in, and brings a four-meet winning streak to the championships.
Redshirt freshman
Nick Wessels is sitting second on the league's 60m hurdles list. He has SDSU's fifth-best mark all-time and has finished in the top-three at two meets this year.
Â
Senior
Mason Leiseth reached fifth on The Summit League's shot put performance list with a personal-best mark of 56-01.25. The mark is second best in SDSU's all-time indoor list. Leiseth has won two shot put events in his first full indoor season.

Â
The Jackrabbits have two student-athletes that have the league's best marks in three events.
Â
Junior
Rachel King is leading the league in the 3,000m (9:36.53) and the 5,000m (16:29.88), looking to defend both league titles from last year.
Â
Her 3,000m time is just 2.32 seconds away from her personal-best, she set in the championships last year, which is the school record. King's season-best 5,000m time is the school record and would be the league championship record, beating her time last year in the race by 24.80 seconds.
Â
The St. Michael, Minn. native has the league's best time in the 3,000m by 4.84 seconds, and the 5,000m by 15.41 seconds. She is also within 0.58 seconds behind the league leader in the mile (King's time: 4:48.94).
Â
Junior
Krista Steele has the league's best time in the 800m (2:10.33), improving her PR three times this season. It is second on the school's all-time list, behind teammate
Oksana Covey's 2:09.31 mark.
Â
Steele also has The Summit League's fourth-best mark in the 400m (56.73), running her only indoor 400m race last weekend. It is sixth on SDSU's all-time list.
Â
Senior
Savannah Dolezal is second on the 400m performance list (56.21), with the school's third-best indoor mark all-time. She has finished in the top three in every meet (four) she has ran the event.
Â
The league performance list has sophomore
Jaymie O'Connor ranked second in the 60m hurdles (8.67). She has finished in the top-three in five meets, winning one of them. O'Connor is 0.06 seconds away from tying her personal-best set last year in the finals of the league Championships (8.61).
Â
Junior
Abby Sudbeck has the league's third-best mark in the weight throw (62-05.00). Her personal-best mark has grown 7-04.50 feet since last year, which has helped her place in the top three at the last four meets, including two wins.
