BROOKINGS, S.D. — South Dakota State's Bargmann Endowed Head Coach for Track & Field/Cross Country,
Rod DeHaven, wins the Summit League Cross Country Men's Coach of the Year, as announced by the league Monday afternoon.
This marks the 16th season DeHaven has been awarded Cross Country Coach of the Year. DeHaven earns this honor after coaching the men's team to 10-straight conference titles, 14 in total. On Saturday morning,
Cody Larson led the team to victory with 38 total points and became the ninth Jackrabbit to win the conference meet. Earlier this season, DeHaven coached the men's team to a first-place finish at the Augustana Twilight, before assisting the Jacks to a fourth-place finish at the Roy Griak. DeHaven also coached Larson to a top-10 finish among power conference competition at the Pre-Nationals Invitational two weeks ago.
